About Us
Sunny & George
A fter spending countless winters in the Bahia de Banderas, we realized that this is where we wanted to spend our retirement and so, voila, we left Canada in November 2004 to begin 'livin the dream'.
O nce we were settled into our little casita, we began the arduous task of finding a contractor and so began a year long experience of dealing with Mexican workers.......and what an experience it was!!!
Not too many tears were shed, but the laughter was non-stop.
A s soon as we moved into our lovely home, I began planning how I would decorate the apartments. I don't think I've ever spent that much time in my car driving from one quaint little shop to another, but I had the time of my life. What fun it was (well, when I wasn't tearing my hair out at not finding exactly what I wanted, that is) and from the feedback we receive, it seems I was successful.
M eanwhile, George was creating the garden which was all new to him.......and he did a great job. How interesting to work with plants you've only ever seen in a florist's shop! These days, he enjoys picking bananas and papayas and he continues to try to get the 'perfect pineapple' which I'm certain he'll accomplish one of these days
.
A nd so, that's the condensed version of how we came to be living in Paradise..........
